Ohio’s
Citizen Corps programs engage citizens in hometown preparedness through
public education and training. The mission of Citizen Corps is to
harness the power of every individual through education, training, and
volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger and better
prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health
issues and disasters of all kinds.
Mission Statement
- Through awareness, education, training, and volunteer service, the
Ohio Citizen Corps Program promotes individual involvement in programs
intended to make Ohio communities safer and better prepared to prevent,
respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters of all kinds.
Vision Statement
- The Ohio Citizen Corps Council envisions that all Ohio Citizens
will be represented by a local or regional Citizen Corps Council which
will promote awareness, preparedness, and volunteerism across the state
resulting in a safer and more resilient state during emergencies and
disasters of all kinds.
